When my daughter was born, I thought she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.
She had soft dark hair, a tiny nose that looked just like her father’s, and bright green eyes that made everyone stop and stare.
They were not brown.

At first, I did not think it was strange. Babies can change a lot during their first months. Even the nurses told us that newborn eye color can sometimes change over time.
My husband, Daniel, was not worried at all. He looked at our daughter with so much love and said, “She’s perfect. That’s all that matters.”
